The PSAT
The PSAT is a preliminary, or practice SAT, given once a year in October at individual high schools.
The scores are for student and parent information and planning only and are not sent to colleges. PSAT scores from 11th
grade test-takers automatically become part of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation Program, which identifies Top Scholars
across the nation. National Merit Semi-Finalists and Finalists are eligible for a range of scholarships and special
programs not available to other students.
Registration for the PSAT at
CdM takes during registration and in the fall. All CdM juniors will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 14
during College Day. PSAT scores will be available at CDM at Scoresback Night on December 15.
What to Bring on Test Day to Either Test:
Bring your admission ticket, acceptable
photo ID, two No. 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), acceptable calculator.
It is strongly recommended that you register well in advance for your SAT and subject tests as spaces
at CDM are limited. If you do not register early, be prepared to be assigned to another test
site.
If you require special accommodations, please request these accommodations well in advance, as obtaining approval
may take some time.
Late registration
requires an additional fee and is subject to space availability.
